Meet Our Dedicated and Knowledgeable Staff

Ms. Robyn, Director

Hi, my name is Ms. Robyn and I am the Director of the Lil People Learning Center. It has been a dream come true to open and operate Lil People Learning Center. We have been serving families in the far Northeast community of Denver for over 10 years and look forward to serving another 10 years.

I love working with children, giving them a safe and secure place to learn, explore and grow, as they embark on their educational journey.

I truly value education and all that it brings. Learning about early childhood development has become a new passion that complements my love for children. I currently have a Bachelor's Degree in Business and a Master's Degree in Early Education.

My favorite childhood book is “The Little Engine That Could,” by Watty Piper. I love this book because it illustrates the “can do" attitude that we want the children to have. “I think I can! I think I can!” says the Little Blue Engine who isn’t afraid to try. Thank you for choosing Lil People Learning Center as a partner in your child’s journey.

Our learning center strongly believes in supporting our community. We also strive to involve parents in many of our programs. Get in touch with us today!
Our Services

Ms. Glenda, Assistant Director

My name is Ms. Glenda. I have been working with children for 11 years. I love to teach because it gives me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children. The diversity of my students, past and present, has taught me about different cultures from around the world, including Bosnia, Morocco, Honduras, and Africa.

I have met and worked with families from all over the U.S. and shared their rich and diverse culture to the entire classroom.

As I continue my personal education, I often use the experiences with the children as I grow. Currently, I am attending college. I am Director-Certified through the State of Colorado to manage and operate a large child care center.

One of my favorite children’s books is “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” by Crockett Johnson. In this book, Harold has the power to be creative with a purple crayon. I teach the children how to be creative by having the confidence to solve issues that may arise.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to work with your child. You can get 50% OFF your registration fee when you mention this website. To schedule a tour of our learning center, call us today.

Ms. Shelli, Curriculum Coordinator

Hello, my name is Ms. Shelli. Since working at Lil People Learning Center, I have not only completed 15 early education college courses but also attended many ECE workshops and seminars.

I’m currently enrolled at the Community College of Denver. I am also enrolled in a training course called “Pyramid Plus Approach.” I’m excited about this course because I will be able to learn new strategies in working with children, with and without disabilities.

I love teaching children. I love to see them grow. I’m active in the community. I’m currently on a steering committee for the “Light Rail,” and I am an active member of the Antioch Community Church.

I guess you can say I am a people person. My goal in life is to make a difference in people’s lives. I truly value education; at this time, I plan to complete my Associate Degree and immediately pursue my Bachelor Degree in early education.

My favorite childhood book is the "Itsy Bitsy Spider." I love reading this book to children. It’s about a spider that never gave up; and I teach the children that as humans, we can never give up.

Ms. Jamesha, Team Lead

My name is Ms. Jamesha. I have been in the field of child care for 14 years. Almost 5 of those years have been here at Lil People Learning Center.

Why child care? I love working with children and truly want to make a difference in each of their lives. I want to help children to be the best that they can be, by teaching them things they need to know; not just their ABCs and 123s, but social skills, science, sharing, and more.

I feel very proud when I see a child doing well in my classroom and even after they move on. It makes me happy and proud to see them doing well and progressing in life. Knowing that I had something to do with their success by educating them is priceless.

I enjoy both teaching and learning. That is why I have chosen to continue my education at the Community College of Denver. I plan to become Director Certified in Early Childhood Development.
